Magicians are among the first bookings to go, especially for weekend slots in our busier months, so 4 to 5 weeks is the sensible window for a Saturday or Sunday. One useful thing about magic: it is an indoor show, so it holds up all year when the weather stops outdoor entertainment working. Midweek dates outside peak season are usually straightforward. The show runs 45 minutes of interactive magic, and we would recommend it for children aged 4 and up. Our magicians are good at reading a room and adjusting on the spot: a younger audience gets simpler tricks with more volunteering and shouting, older children get more advanced magic and sharper participation. It is built to hold attention start to finish, as long as the audience is over 4.

Yes. If the party has a theme — wizard school, fairy magic, something along those lines — tell us at booking and your magician will tie the show into it. What they will not do is arrive in full costume: our magicians perform as magicians, not as characters. If you want a specific character in costume, that is our party characters service, and the two pair up very well. For a themed show, a bit of extra notice helps us match you with the right magician.

We bring everything: props, tricks, a table, a portable backdrop, and the PA system for the Stage Magic Show. All we need from you is an indoor space with seating arranged in a semi-circle so every child has a clear view. A cleared living room, a dining area or a hall all work well. Roughly 3 metres by 3 metres of performing space is plenty. Nothing to set up on your side — point us at the room and we will handle it.

Designed for 4 and up, and it holds right through to about 12, with the adults in the room usually enjoying it just as much. At a mixed-age party the show pitches itself up or down depending on who is watching. For children under 4, we would point you at balloon art instead, which works at any age and does not ask anyone to sit still. For a teen or adult party, get in touch and we will tell you what we can do for that crowd.

Yes. Once your booking is confirmed we will tell you which magician is coming. Every magician on our roster is professionally trained, insured and background-checked, and has performed at a lot of children's birthdays. If you would like to see examples of their work before you book, ask and we will send clips or photos over. We do not work with freelancers we have never met.

Yes, and it is one of the most popular setups because it paces a party properly. The usual running order is balloon art or face painting as guests arrive, so latecomers do not miss anything, then the magic show as the main event, then cake. One booking, one arrival, no coordination on your part.

Cancel more than 7 days before the party and you get 95% back, with the 5% covering processing fees. Inside 24 hours, 50%. Rescheduling is free with more than 72 hours' notice, because life with small children is unpredictable and someone always comes down with something the day before.
