Book an Amazing Face Painter in Amsterdam

Amsterdam throws parties all year, indoors and out. During the warmer months, when gardens and parks come back into play, we'd suggest 2 to 3 weeks' notice, especially for a bigger group of 20 or more children. Off-peak, or for a smaller gathering, a week is usually plenty. Want to check a specific date? Message us on WhatsApp or give us a call and we'll sort it out with you.

Around 10 to 12 children an hour with full face designs. For cheek art or smaller designs on hands and arms, that rises to roughly 15 to 18. Our minimum booking is 1 hour, whether you've got 5 children or 12. For more than 12, book 1.5 hours, or add 30 minutes for every additional 6 children. Not sure? Not a problem. Younger children are sometimes nervous about a brush near their face, so our painters will happily do a small design on the back of a hand, along an arm, or "jewellery" around the wrist instead. Everyone gets their moment, one way or another. Mention it when you book, or just tell the painter on the day.

Yes. We use professional, water-based, hypoallergenic paints from trusted brands including Snazaroo and Wolfe FX, all dermatologically tested for use on children's skin. They come off with a wet wipe, or warm water and soap. If a child has sensitive skin or a known allergy, tell us at booking and we'll take extra care or do a small patch test first.

Yes, and face painting stretches further than most services here. Frozen, Spider-Man, princesses, unicorns, dinosaurs, jungle safari, pirates, or something more unusual. Tell us the theme when you book and we'll brief your painter. For complex or custom themes a little extra notice helps, so the artist can prep reference designs and the right colours. The more you tell us, the closer the design menu sits to your party.

Easily. The paints are water-based rather than oil-based, so a wet wipe does most of it and warm water with a bit of soap does the rest. No scrubbing. Most parents deal with it at bath time and it rinses straight out. If a little colour hangs around on sensitive skin, a second wipe with soap finishes the job. It won't stain clothes or pillows once it's dried properly at the party.

Absolutely, and plenty of parents do. The Active Party pairs face painting with balloon art or party games, run by the same entertainer across 90 minutes. The Complete Party puts three services into the same 90 minutes. One entertainer running everything is far smoother than coordinating several people, and it works out cheaper than booking them separately.

A small table and 2 chairs. That's it. Your painter brings the paints, the brushes, the design menu and the good mood. Hosting outdoors? A shaded or sheltered spot is better, so the paint doesn't dry too fast and the kids aren't squinting into the sun. We handle everything else.

Amsterdam being Amsterdam, this comes up. If the weather ruins an outdoor party on the day, we'll reschedule your booking at no extra cost. A lot of planning goes into a kids birthday, and we'd rather move it than watch your little guests huddle under a dripping gazebo. Let us know as early as you can and we'll find a date that works.

It lands best with children aged 3 and up. Toddlers of 1 or 2 can be shy or wriggly, which makes a full face tricky, though our painters are used to nervous little ones and will always work at the child's pace. For very young parties, hand or arm designs are usually the better call, and balloon art works brilliantly at any age.
