How it Happens
Your entertainer arrives 10 minutes before the start, meets the birthday child and goes over the details with whoever is hosting. We would suggest opening with the quieter half — balloons or face painting — and finishing on the games, which is the part everyone remembers. That order gives your entertainer time to learn the children's names, which makes a surprising difference to how well the games run.

Every entertainer is insured and background-checked. One entertainer comfortably handles two activities for up to 12 children inside the 90 minutes. Expecting more than that? Take the longer package so nobody waits around. Not sure which way to go? Give us a call and we will talk it through with you.
For children aged 5 and under, we would take balloon art and face painting as your two. Game instructions are hard to follow at that age, and the quieter pair holds their attention better.
What to Expect
Everything a kids party needs, from the booking to the last round of pass the parcel.
1) Book the Package Online
Pick your Active Party size, choose your date and time, and choose how you want to pay, by card or invoice. We check the details and confirm.
2) We Arrive 10 Minutes Early
Your entertainer sets up the music and equipment, says hello to the birthday child, and runs through the plan with you before anything starts.
3) Let the Party Begin
Around 45 minutes of balloon art or face painting, then straight into the party games, which are all the classics the children already know.
4) We Pack Up and Go
We clear up and leave the room exactly as we found it. No mess, no fuss, just a lot of tired and very happy children.
Games Programme: our entertainers run all the classics — musical statues, limbo, pass the parcel, parachute games, red light green light, tug of war, sack races, egg and spoon relay and tail tag. On the day your entertainer picks the right mix for the age group and the space available.

Which two services are included in the Active Party Package?
Any two of balloon art, face painting and party games — whichever pair suits your party. Balloon art with face painting is the classic choice for younger children, balloon art with party games suits a high-energy group, and face painting with party games works at almost any age. Magic shows and party characters sit outside the Active Party because they price differently, but you can add either alongside at checkout.
What age group does the Active Party work best for?
Any age, as long as the pair you pick matches the children. If party games are one of your two, we would say 5 and up, because younger children tend to lose the thread of the rules and drift off. For a party of 2 to 4 year olds, balloon art with face painting is the better pair. Mixed ages, with older and younger siblings in the room? Face painting plus balloon art keeps everyone involved and leaves nobody standing at the edge.
How does the 90 minutes actually run?
Usually the calmer service first — balloon art or face painting while children are still arriving and settling — then the party games once everyone is there and the energy has built. That said, the running order is yours. Some parents want the games first to burn everything off, then something quieter before the cake. Tell us what suits your party and we will brief your entertainer.
What if I have more than 12 kids?
The Active Party scales with the group. For 13 to 18 children it runs for 2 hours with one entertainer, and for 19 to 24 it runs for 2.5 hours with two. You can see the tiers and prices at the top of this page. The extra time and the second pair of hands are what make sure every child actually gets a turn rather than watching from the sofa.
What games are included in the Active Party?
The same roster we run at every kids party — musical statues, limbo, dance corners, parachute games, red light green light, tug of war, sack races, egg and spoon relay, pass the parcel, and freestyle dancing to whatever the birthday child is into. On the day your entertainer picks the mix that fits the age group, the space and the mood of the room. Racing games and tug of war do not run on hard floors, for safety reasons.
